Adding and Editing Products via Quick Create

Use Quick Create to add or edit products directly in the Site Editor without opening the full Ecommerce dashboard. You access Quick Create through the Product element — a widget that displays a single product card on any page except the Store page.

Please Note: This article refers to customers with enabled Online Store, Online Marketplaces and eCommerce plans. 

The Product element represents a single selected product on a page. It can be dragged and dropped as any regular widget from the Elements sidebar. The Product element allows you to add a product card to any project page except the Store page.

Adding Product Element

Option 1

  • In the Site Editor, hover over the desired section and click Add Element in the top-right:

  • Choose Product from the Add Element panel that appears on the left:

  • After you choose the element from the list, drag it to the desired section and drop it using the grid.

Option 2

  • Hover over the left sidebar of the Site Editor and click Build (+) button at the top:

  • Choose Product from the Add Element panel that appears on the left:

  • After you choose the element from the list, drag it to the desired section and drop it using the grid.

Adding a New Product with Quick Create

  • To access the Product settings, hover over the Product element and click Edit:

  • Hover over the Product Picker and click the Select button:

  • Fill the product information, and click the Add Product button:

  • Select Quick Add to add the product immediately:

  • Or click Manage Product to access the product page in the Ecommerce dashboard for additional configuration:

Editing a Product  with Quick Create

  • Hover over the Product element and click Edit to configure Product Settings.
  • Hover over the Product Preview and click the Select button.
  • Click the Pencil icon for the product you would like to edit:

  • Edit the product information, then click the Save button:

  • Select Quick Add to save changes immediately:

Common Questions

What is Quick Create and how do I access it?

Quick Create is a streamlined product form inside the Site Editor. There is no separate Quick Create menu in the Ecommerce dashboard. To access it:

  1. Add a Product element to a page (any page except the Store page).
  2. Click Edit on the element.
  3. In the Product Picker, click Select.
  4. Click Add a New Product to open Quick Create.

What is the difference between Quick Add and Manage Product?

  • Quick Add: saves the product (or your edits) and activates the listing immediately. Best when you want the product live quickly or you only need basic fields.
  • Manage Product: saves the product and opens the full Product Details page in the ecommerce dashboard for advanced settings such as inventory, dimensions, supplier info, and marketplace identifiers.
