How to Create Discount Codes for Your eCommerce Website

Boost your sales in your online store? Discount codes are a super effective way to attract new customers and keep your regulars coming back for more. In this guide, we'll walk you through how to easily create discount codes for your eCommerce website.

Create a Discount Code

  1. Log in to your account via https://www.networksolutions.com/my-account/login.
  2. In your Account Manager:
    • Click Websites on the left side of the page, then click Launch if you have an eCommerce plan; if you have a Website plan, then click Launch Website Builder.

Please Note: If you have one eCommerce product, you will be directly routed to your eCommerce dashboard.

  1. In the Dashboard, click Edit Site to access your published site or Edit Draft if your draft hasn't been published yet:

  1. Click Store on the left sidebar, then select Settings.

  1. Click the Manage button on the Online Store card.

  1. Click the Manage button on the Discount card.

  1. Click on the Create a discount code button.

  1. Fill out these fields to apply the discount to your Online Store. You may also add a name and coupon code for the discounts.

Please Note: There are three types of promotional discounts in your store: Price Discount, Percentage Discount, and Free Shipping. These will all be applied to the products at the time of checkout. An option to make it Active is also available.

    1. Price Discount – a fixed dollar amount will be deducted as a discount on the transaction.
    2. Percentage Discount – only a percentage of the total amount of the transaction will be deducted.
    3. Free Shipping – the transaction will receive free shipping at the time of checkout.

  1. On the upper right corner, click the Publish button.

  1. Once the discount is published, it will be placed under the Discount page. Several options will be available, too – Activating and Deactivating the discount code, Deleting, and Editing. The Delete and Edit options can be found in the ellipsis icon.
