How to Manage Contact Form Emails

A contact form on your online store acts as an essential connection between the site and your customer, providing a direct channel of communication for questions, comments, and other purposes. Viewing Contact Form Submissions

Follow the steps below to view and begin responding to product feedback through contact forms.

  1. Log in to your Account Manager via https://www.web.com/my-account/login.
  2. On your Account Manager homepage, click Websites on the left menu. If you only have one eCommerce product, you will be automatically routed to your eCommerce dashboard.
    • If you have multiple eCommerce products, click Launch next to the product you would like to update.

  3. On the left navigation menu, select Customers.

  4. From the drop-down menu, select Contact Form Inbox. This is where you can view the messages that were submitted by your website visitors. Respond to them and convert contact form inquiries into sales leads.

Managing Contact Form Submissions

After accessing the Contact Form Inbox, you will be redirected to the Form Inbox page. On this page, you will find the Summary and the Individual tabs. This is where you can effectively communicate with your site visitors and possibly close deals faster with effective communication via contact forms. Select from the options below to view each tab.

Summary

In the Summary tab, you will find a list of submissions on your website and do the following actions:

  • Bulk Action drop-down – Select a submission by ticking the checkbox beside it. You can also select multiple submissions. You can flag or unflag submissions in bulk. Select Flag to flag messages for follow-up or Unflag to unflag them.

  • Submission Time – Shows the date and time when the contact form was submitted.
  • Flagged – Shows the status of whether a specific submission has been flagged or not. If it's flagged, it will show a green check mark.
  • Template – Shows which specific contact form was used and submitted by your site visitor.
  • Email – Shows the visitor's email address used when submitting the contact form.
  • Actions – Click on the vertical ellipsis to show the View ResponseFlag, and Remove options.

Please Note: When clicking on the View Response option, you will be redirected to the Individual tab to see more details on this specific submission.

Individual

In the Summary tab, you will find a list of submissions on your website and do the following actions:

  • Unflagged/Flagged drop-down – Click on this drop-down button and select if you want to flag or unflag this submission.

  • Contract Details – View the contact details of who submitted the submission.

  • Email – Respond by sending an email to the one who submitted the submissions. Alternatively, you can use the Respond to Message button found at the lower-left side of the page.
